Buses – concerns raised about the 13 serving Epping St Johns

A lot of concerns have been raised about the 13 bus, which has replaced the 213 and services Epping St John’s school, particularly around fares and the timetable.

Save the 250 & 251 – Epping Forest rally for buses and public transport

On Monday 3rd July I organised a small lunchtime rally for the Epping Forest Transport Action Group, in support of buses and public transport in Epping Forest.

The rally was partly to build support for the campaign to save the 250 and 251 bus routes and also to launch Catch the Bus Week. 8.00pm curfew for Waltham Abbey’s bus users?

UPDATE: Epping Forest Transport Action Group (EFTAG) has organised a lunchtime rally in Waltham Abbey Market Place, Monday 3rd, 12.30 – 1.30pm.

Essex County Council has announced plans to cut support for the 250 and 251 bus services from Monday to Saturday, creating an 8.00pm stay-in Waltham Abbey curfew for anybody who uses a bus.

The county council consultation closes on Monday 3rd May. Make sure you have your say:

325 votes, 356% increase. Thank you Waltham Abbey!

In the County Council elections 325 Waltham Abbey residents,  most of whom have never met me, voted for the Green Party and I to represent them on Essex  County Council. That’s a 356% increase on the 89 votes we won in 2013 and shows that there is space for green policies in Waltham Abbey.

With the local plan, the neighbourhood plan, parking problems and cuts to bus services, youth services and care services there’s a lot going on in Waltham Abbey.

But there’s still always time to spend a relaxing evening in good company!

We’re going to meet for a chat and some socialising at The Crown on Thursday 27th, from 7pm, to chew the fat.
