Can you help Waltham Abbey elect their first Green councillor?

For the last few years Dave Plummer has worked tirelessly for the community in Waltham Abbey, becoming the go-to person for local issues, kick-starting groups looking at public transport, litter, single-use plastics and protecting the Green Belt, among others.

In May 2019 Dave’s standing in the Epping Forest District Council elections as the Green Party candidate for Waltham Abbey South West ward. With a track record of hard work and a consistently increasing vote share in local elections Dave has a real chance of winning in May.

Join us on Saturday 6th October at the start of our drive to help Dave break through from campaigner to Councillor.

Plan for the day:

  • 10.30: meet at Dave’s to hear about local issues and Dave’s work
  • 11.00: go out in teams with our 60 Second Surveys
  • 13.00: break for lunch at The Gatehouse Cafe, an independent cafe with a good range of veggie and vegan food
  • 14.00: back out with more 60 Second Surveys
  • 16.00: meet back at The Gatehouse Cafe for a debrief and to hear about next steps.
  • 16.30: head back home or join us for a social evening at Vintner and Mason, a local, independent family run wine bar.

Don’t worry if you’ve not done anything like this before – you’ll have support throughout the day and will be in teams of at least two people.

After five years of hard work Dave has a good chance of being able to be an independently minded Green voice for Waltham Abbey on the District Council.

Help make it happen!
